Warranty & Replacement

Last updated: February 2026

RefrigDirect is committed to supplying reliable HVAC refrigerants, air conditioning supplies and related products.

This Warranty & Replacement Policy explains the terms under which products purchased from our store may be eligible for warranty service, replacement, refund or store credit.

Limited Warranty Coverage

Products sold by RefrigDirect are covered by a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for 30 days from the date of delivery, unless a different period is stated on the product page.

This limited warranty applies only to products used under normal conditions, for their intended purpose, and in accordance with manufacturer instructions and applicable regulations.

This warranty is offered by our store and is separate from any manufacturer warranty that may apply to a product. Where a manufacturer warranty applies, its terms and duration are set by the manufacturer.

What Is Covered

Within the warranty period, this policy covers:

  • Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship
  • Products that arrive damaged in transit, when reported within 48 hours of delivery
  • Incorrect items sent as a result of an error on our side
  • Cylinders or components that fail on arrival due to a verified defect

What Is Not Covered

This limited warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by:

  • Improper handling, misuse or abuse
  • Accidental damage or impact
  • Unauthorized modification, tampering or repair
  • Improper installation, storage or maintenance
  • Normal wear and tear from regular use
  • Weather exposure, fire, water or other external conditions beyond normal product use
  • Use in a system the product was not designed or approved for, including mixing incompatible refrigerants

How To Make A Warranty Claim

  1. 1Prepare your order number and proof of purchase.
  2. 2Take clear photos or a short video showing the defect or issue, including the product label and outer packaging.
  3. 3Contact our support team at contact@refrigdirect.com with those details and a short description of the problem.
  4. 4Our team will review the claim and respond with the next steps, including return instructions if a return is required.

Please do not return any product before your claim has been reviewed and authorized. Unauthorized returns may be refused.

Required Proof

To assess a warranty claim we require:

  • Your order number
  • Purchase confirmation or receipt from our store
  • Photos or video clearly showing the defect or damage
  • Images of the product label, batch or serial markings where present
  • Photos of the shipping box and packaging for transit damage claims

Claims submitted without sufficient documentation may be delayed or declined.

Remedies Under Warranty

If your warranty claim is approved, we may, at our discretion and depending on the circumstances:

  • Replace the defective product
  • Issue a full or partial refund
  • Repair the product, where repair is practical and appropriate
  • Provide store credit toward a future purchase

Shipping costs related to approved warranty returns may be covered or reimbursed at our discretion. Replacement products are covered for the remainder of the original warranty period.

Exclusions

This Warranty & Replacement Policy does not apply to:

  • Products purchased from unauthorized resellers or third parties
  • Items without valid proof of purchase from our store
  • Cosmetic damage, dents or scuffs that do not affect product function
  • Products opened, connected or partially used, except where the defect could only be found in use
  • Products returned without prior approval
  • Consumable items depleted through normal use
  • Claims submitted after the warranty period has expired

Product Misuse & Improper Installation

Refrigerants and HVAC components must be handled, charged and installed by appropriately trained and, where required, certified personnel.

Warranty coverage is void where a product has been used in a system it was not intended for, charged incorrectly, mixed with another refrigerant, or installed in a way that does not follow manufacturer instructions, safety guidelines or applicable regulations.

Depending on the product and its intended use, EPA Section 608 or Section 609 certification may apply to the purchase and handling of refrigerants. Customers are responsible for meeting those requirements.

Limitation Of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our liability under this warranty is limited to the remedies described above.

We are not responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of our products, including equipment damage, labor costs, downtime or loss of business.

Changes To This Warranty Policy

We may update this Warranty & Replacement Policy from time to time. When updates are made, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. The version in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that order.
